Salmon is probably my absolute favourite when it comes to fish. And this creamy Tandoori Salmon fillet recipe is my current favourite. When you think Indian food, you probably think ‘Oh, I’ve got to buy 10 different spice jars, which I’m going to use once and then they will never get used’ What if I tell you that you need only a few spices to make this dish. And because it is going to be a hit, you will use up all the spices pretty soon?
To be honest, I pretty much made this recipe with certain ingredients that were just at home, some in the fridge like creme fraiche and some in the store cupboard like milk curry powder. I had to cook the salmon that very evening because of the dreaded Use By date. Also that particular evening I was feeling, well rather adventurous – with my spices.
Creme fraiche or single cream or yogurt will do as the base for the marination, and curry powder or tandoori masala powder will do the trick. And just like that you have super creamy, melt in your mouth Tandoori Salmon ready for dinner! If that didnt convince you, then just serve it alongside a creamy Curry Dip.
Some nights you just deserve a fine-dine styled creamy Tandoori Salmon, like tonight maybe?
