Salty sweet marinated salmon roasted to perfect

  • 2medium Salmon fillets
  • 3-4tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1tsp rice vine vegar
  • 2cloves garlicfinely chopped
  • 1/2inch Gingerfinely chopped
  • 1/2tsp honey
  • Salt to taste
  • 1tbsp Oil
  • 8 asparagus tips
  • 2 spring onionsfinely chopped
Recipe Notes
  1. In a bowl, add the soy sauce, rice vine vinegar, diced ginger-garlic, honey and mix thoroughly. Season with salt accordingly. 
  2. In a deep dish, take the salmon fillets, and make some cuts to it, this is so that the salmon soaks in the marinade.
  3. Now pour the marinade all over the salmon. cover and refrigerate for about 20-30 mins.
  4. Heat oven to 200C and oven cook the salmon for about 20 minutes. Apply some drops of oil on the salmon before cooking.
  5. Serve the salmon with asparagus and spring onions and optionally with sticky rice.
